Firmer Skin. No Needles. No Downtime
RF Skin Tightening in Staten Island
Firmer, smoother, more defined skin without needles, incisions, or recovery time. Density uses two forms of radiofrequency energy in a single pulse. It rebuilds collagen deep in the skin and refines the surface you see every day.

Needle-Free RF Skin Tightening with Density by Jeisys
A looser jawline. Softening cheeks. A neck that no longer looks as crisp as it once did. These are some of the most common reasons patients visit us in Staten Island.
For many of them, surgery is more than they want. Injectables alone do not address the real issue either, which is a gradual loss of collagen and elastin in the deeper layers of the skin.
RF skin tightening with Density was designed to address this gap. Density is a next-generation radiofrequency system developed by Jeisys Medical, a South Korean medical aesthetics technology company known for its advanced energy-based devices. The technology delivers radiofrequency energy at multiple depths during the same treatment, targeting deeper layers for structural tightening while improving the appearance of smoother, firmer skin at the surface. Integrated cooling technology helps keep the treatment comfortable throughout the procedure.
At The Formula by Nicole Frontera in Staten Island, every Density treatment is planned and overseen by a clinical team led by Nicole Frontera, FNP.
Nicole is a family nurse practitioner with more than a decade in aesthetic medicine. She previously served as a clinical nurse educator for Cynosure, one of the largest energy-based device companies in the country. That background matters with radiofrequency, because results depend on choosing the right tip, energy level, and number of passes for your specific skin.
How RF Skin Tightening Works
Most radiofrequency tightening devices rely on one type of energy. Monopolar RF travels deep and is known for tightening, while bipolar RF stays closer to the surface and is better for fine lines and texture. Historically, patients had to choose one or combine separate devices.
Density delivers both in a single pulse sequence:
Deep heating first
A series of monopolar pulses at 6.78 MHz warms the deeper dermis and the supportive layers beneath it, where laxity begins.
Surface refinement second
A bipolar pulse follows, targeting the upper dermis to improve fine lines, crepiness, and skin quality.
Cooling throughout
Cryogen cooling is applied between pulses to protect the surface of the skin. Five adjustable cooling levels let us tailor treatment to your comfort.
Real-time calibration
The system continuously reads the skin’s impedance, or resistance to energy, and adjusts output automatically. This keeps energy delivery consistent from one area to the next.
The heat causes existing collagen fibers to contract and signals the skin to begin producing new collagen and elastin over the following months.
Why Choose RF Skin Tightening at The Formula
Density tightens the deeper foundation of the skin and refines the surface in the same session. Density allows us to address both deeper skin firmness and surface skin quality in a single treatment.
Built-in cryogen cooling and automatic energy calibration make Density one of the more comfortable RF tightening options available. Most patients need no numbing cream and return to their day immediately.
Treatments are performed by our trained clinical team and customized under the clinical direction of Nicole Frontera, FNP, whose background as a former Cynosure clinical nurse educator gives The Formula extensive experience with energy-based aesthetic technologies.

Is RF Skin Tightening Right for You?
Density is well suited to patients with mild to moderate skin laxity who want visible firming without surgery or downtime. Ideal candidates often:
- Are noticing early jowling, a softer jawline, or looser skin on the neck
- Want to improve skin quality and firmness without needles
- Prefer a treatment that fits into a busy schedule with no recovery period
- Want to maintain results from a facelift or other procedures
- Are looking for a nonsurgical alternative to more aggressive options
Density may not be appropriate if you:
- Are pregnant
- Have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device
- Have metal implants in the treatment area
- Have certain active skin conditions in the area being treated
Patients with significant skin laxity may be better served by a surgical consultation, and we will tell you honestly if that is the case. A complete medical history is reviewed at your consultation.
What to Expect
1. Consultation and Skin Assessment
We evaluate your skin quality, degree of laxity, and goals, then build a plan that may include Density alone or paired with other treatments. We will explain what results are realistic for your skin.
2. Preparation
Your skin is cleansed and a coupling gel is applied. Numbing cream is generally not needed.
3. Treatment
The handpiece is moved across each area in multiple passes. You will feel deep warmth, followed by cooling bursts between pulses. Most facial treatments take about 30 to 60 minutes depending on the areas treated.
4. After Your Session
You may notice mild redness or slight swelling that typically resolves within a few hours to a day. Most patients go straight back to work or daily plans. Some see an immediate subtle tightening as collagen fibers contract.
5. Your Results Develop
New collagen builds gradually over the following two to three months, with continued improvement after that. We schedule a follow-up to assess your progress.
Results, Sessions, and Maintenance
Many patients begin to notice improvement following treatment, with the number and timing of sessions customized to the degree of laxity and individual goals. When a second session is recommended, it is typically spaced 30 days after the first. Because collagen remodeling continues after treatment, results tend to look better over time rather than peaking right away.
A Smarter Approach to Collagen Banking
New collagen does not simply disappear, but skin continues to age naturally. That is why many of our patients think of Density as collagen banking. You build up collagen reserves now, before laxity becomes advanced, so there is more structure to preserve later.
An annual maintenance session helps protect those gains and keeps your skin ahead of the aging curve. For patients beginning to notice early changes in skin firmness, periodic treatments may help support collagen production and maintain skin quality over time.
Pairs well with:
- RF Microneedling with Potenza for deeper texture, scarring, or more significant remodeling
- Laser Skin Resurfacing with the ULTRA for tone, pigment, and surface glow
- Neurotoxins and dermal fillers for dynamic lines and volume support
If you are combining treatments, we will recommend the right sequence and spacing.
RF Skin Tightening FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
RF skin tightening is a nonsurgical treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to heat the skin and stimulate new collagen. At our Staten Island location, we perform it with Density by Jeisys Medical. Density uses sequential monopolar and bipolar RF energy to tighten skin. It treats both the deeper layers responsible for laxity and the surface layers responsible for fine lines and texture.
Both use radiofrequency to build collagen, but they work in different ways. Density is needle-free. It heats the skin from the surface, so there is no numbing and no downtime. It is best for firming the jawline, neck, and areas of early laxity.
RF microneedling with Potenza uses fine needles to deliver energy inside the skin. That makes it better for acne scars, enlarged pores, and rough texture, with one to three days of redness afterward. Many patients benefit from both, and we will help you decide where to start.
Most patients describe a warm, deep heat followed by cooling. Most patients find it very comfortable. Numbing is generally not necessary, and cooling can be adjusted during treatment.
Typically none. Some patients have mild redness or swelling for a few hours up to a day. You can return to work, exercise, and makeup the same day unless we advise otherwise.
Many patients see visible improvement after one or two sessions spaced four to six months apart, followed by annual maintenance. Your plan depends on your degree of laxity and goals.
Some patients notice subtle tightening right away. The main results appear gradually over two to three months as new collagen forms, and they can continue improving beyond that.
Common areas include the full face, jawline, under the chin, neck, and the delicate skin around the eyes. It can also be used on certain body areas with mild laxity.
Radiofrequency energy is not absorbed by skin pigment the way many lasers are. That makes RF treatments generally suitable for a wide range of skin tones. We will confirm suitability at your consultation.
No nonsurgical treatment replicates a surgical facelift. Density is best for mild to moderate laxity and for patients who want gradual, natural-looking firming without surgery. If your goals are better met surgically, we will tell you.
Collagen banking means stimulating new collagen proactively, before significant laxity sets in, so your skin has stronger reserves as it ages. Density is well suited to this approach because it builds collagen with no downtime and is maintained with about one session per year.
Yes. Density works on skin quality and firmness, while injectables address volume and muscle movement. We will advise on timing between treatments.
